After its premiere screenings at the museum, the remarkable hour-long documentary Museum at the Crossroads is finally available online. It follows the conception, construction and opening of Almaty Museum of Arts.

The film was shot over four years. It was directed by documentary filmmaker, journalist and producer Andrei Loshak. The museum’s founder Nurlan Smagulov, art director Meruert Kaliyeva and many other people involved in this exciting process tell their stories in the first person. I also make a brief appearance.
The documentary is shown regularly at the museum according to its screening schedule. Enjoy watching!
